Shillamill Tunnel has been derelict since the closure of the Launceston - Plymouth line in the 1960s, but has recently been purchased by West Devon Borough Council.
Their plan is to reopen the line between Tavistock and Bere Alston, creating a rail link with Plymouth.
The Tunnel and Viaduct were both featured in this BBC local news report earlier on this year.
