None of us could remember the real name for this one so it became Dr Nando’s Portuguese Piri-Piri Pheasant Palace or something.
Visited as an interlude between the two slices of Mega Industry on our quick little weekend channel crossing.
Derp houses are definitely not usually my thing but being as we had the original DERPHOUSE with us, she would have probably imploded had we not have stopped by one of the many generic derp Maisons / Villas etc that are dotted around this little country.
Anyhow, generic this one is not, containing a quality vintage examination / treatment room, bedrooms dripping with brilliant 70’s ephemera, taxidermy and dat delicious Audi 5E. Similar in form and contents to Dr Anna's Haus
Same old story it seems here, affluent specialist Doctor, falls into Ill health, moves out and the house becomes derp. Seems to have lain empty for at least 10 years or more with medical records and personal effects stretching back into the early 60’s – the gentleman’s pants and vests were still neatly folded in the wardrobes.
A shame it has fallen foul to heavy “staging” including drinks poured out into glasses and an oh so convincingly placed half smoked cigar and pen on the office desk, lots of wanton damage and general neglect from visitors.
