This place has been done to death on here so I'll keep it brief. Eastmoor was originally opened in 1857 as a reformatory for boys and briefly spent a few years being used for accommodation by Leeds University. It's a fairly large site and was pretty much a self contained village in it's day and although many of the outer buildings have been demolished the central section still remains along with the chapel and some other accommodation but these appear pretty inaccessible. It's in a pretty sorry state these days, large sections are fire damaged and dangerous and I wouldn't really advise visiting but I spent a good couple of hours having a mooch around. Pictures!
