No joke! This is the Longbridge of chocolate factories!
Visited with Sinnerman, this was probably one of the funniest and wierdest explores I've ever done! I met Sinnerman outside a graveyard and we made our way to the entrance point and started looking around to see a way into the main factory only to come across 4 kids messing about in the courtyard. They were relieved when I said we weren't security and they showed us the way in and even carried my tripod and camera for me-they were also very taken with Sinnerman's maglite (corrr it's massive!)
The kids soon got bored because we were taking too long with our photos and buggered off somewhere to set off some more fire extinguishers
So we start to make our way through the rest of the factory (stopping along the way to try on some uniforms and hair nets)-the place is massive, in fact, I think we still only managed to cover half of it. It's full to the brim with production lines of machinery and easter egg moulds and boxes of packaging. There's also random chocolates scattered over the floor everywhere!
Whilst on the top floor, we look out the window and security see Sinnerman's head pop up and we see them go into the building. Time to find somewhere to hide so we sit on the roof and watch pikeys scrounging around looking for copper. It's getting late so we make our way out past huge vats of chocolate and piles of staff uniforms.
Just as we're climbing back over the wall, a straggly haired gypo just stops and stands there staring at us.
Sinnerman: Evening!
Hairy Gypo: What you do!!??? (he was portuguese)
Rookinella: Taking photos mate
Hairy Gypo: I gonna follow you and take your numbers
Sinnerman: No problem mate, we've got nothing to hide
Hairy Gypo: you english think I stupid! you climbing over wall to elizabethhhhh sharrrrwwww!
He then followed us back to our cars babbling about lighting equipment and occasionally yelling ellllizzabettttthhhhh sharrrrrr!!! Very very funny
Thanks to Sinnerman for a great day
