Hi all, went for a quick look at this one with a buddy, and was not expecting it to be as 'non-chavved' as it turned out to be, quite good i thought
A bit of history...
The mill was built pre-1800, though had a major overhaul in 1840, in which the north wing was pretty much completely reconstructed. Later a wood panel/ red brick outbuilding (for want of a better word) for agricultural storage was added.
The mill over looks the river Nene, very picturesque if i say so myself.
In the 90's (i think) the mill was re opened as a tourist attraction but closed shortly after, this probably explains the newish looking wood holding up most of the attic.
On with the pics...
Front facing side of the mill
Some of the old machinery left inside. (this tured the water energy to rotational energy for the actual mill. (1st floor)
The water wheel (bit knackered)
Some of the bits left in the farmer's storage
2nd floor
Attic
Thanks for looking!
