Report - Esplanade tunnels - Dover November 2019

The Explore
in November 2019, I finally had a day off from work, we headed to Dover with few other explores ( who went before me) who showed us this place, I wanted to see it for ages, I knew it was back open so i was not gonna miss this one . when we got there we got in nice and simple ( can't believe how close the entrance was the hole time to a different explore guess I don't pay much attention when exploring at odd stuff ).
once in the tunnels I was pretty amazed at the size of them all - my fav bit was the blocks that holding up the roof.


History :
Tbh I'm not sure of the history as I read a number of different versions on different reports.


Now some photos not gonna bore with loads. as this place has been done to death on here.

Loads of history on this labyrinth of a location pal. If you wanna know more about locations in this neck of the woods I humbly suggest buying a copy of Derek Leach's 'Dover's Caves & Tunnels'. Best book ever, which provides history, their significance, plans, etc. Nice shots. Did you check out the drainage tunnel and the well?

As said plenty of legit history, there are several sections all marked and named on plans of which there are a lot online, and connected by one long tunnel , guildford tunnel..Nice to see you using 28 and putting reports up tho.
