On the way to another location in the capital of Industrial derps I came across this, after seeing fairly easy access I had a look about.
The factory was alright to be honest, nothing truly ground breaking but a nice half an hour mooch.
I nearly missed out on the other side of building after seeing access into some student flats which then lead into the other side of the factory.
History taken from @HughieD of Derelict Places.
The proximity used to be home to North British Steel Works. Over the years they have been split up into a number of smaller units. One occupier in recent times has been Namsbury Engineering, a Steel fabricator and general engineer. Incorporated in 1966, creditors put the company into liquidation in May 2013 and the company dissolved six years later in October 2019. Another has been Eurofab, a specialist steel fabrication company that provided fabrication, constructing and erecting services. They appear to have recently relocated elsewhere in Sheffield.
Thanks for looking.
