Hi everyone! My name is Taylor, I am an urban explorer from America who is taking a trip to the UK in early April with two friends who are also explorers. I am posting here to try to connect with UK explorers who would be willing to give us some advice about exploring in the UK. We have been doing a lot of research and have been able to find a lot of spots we are excited to check out, but without local knowledge it's hard to know if these spots are still worth going to. I am also open to any recommendations of good areas to do more research on, or really any advice whatsoever! Any help would be much much appreciated.

We are mostly interested in industrial spots, churches, hospitals/asylums, and houses. I would also love to hear any recs of chill... "normal" things to do around the UK- food, pubs, attractions, nature/hiking. Figured I'd ask people like you all who definitely know how to have fun. We will be driving practically the entirety of the UK so any recommendation is a good one.

My instagram is @_eskullator if you would like to check out some of my work. Feel free to shoot me a message on there! I've also been looking for photographers to follow, would love to hear of people I should check out too. We are also very very open to meeting up with fellow explorers during our trip if it works out that way. I would love to chat with you!

Thanks in advance for the help!!

There's definitely members on here who would be able to help you out on your journeys I'm sure. To be honest exploring here is way more chill compared to what it can be like in the States, we have it comparatively lucky.

I'm actually going to be on your side of the Atlantic when you're over here which is a shame but I'm sure others can offer more tips and advice along the way.

Post your list and we can tell you whats a good bet at least.. To be honest there's not much here that's a nailed on top level explore anymore. Most place come and go pretty fast and the situation with them changes quickly.

I've realized I don't have access to some chat functions yet since my account is still new. I dont think I'm able to message you first if you want to PM me instead, I would love to chat about some spots!

That's a good idea. I'll gather some things I'm curious about and probably make another post, thank you!
