Father Hudson's children's home is well documented on the web - for example Father Hudson's Society Offering Adult Care, Family Support, Adoption, Fostering and Community Projects in the Archdiocese of Birmingham
I only have to say catholic priest and children's home and perhaps your imaginations run away with you.
When we visited this place earlier in the year, before the fire, it really was quite sad and moving. It must have been a very strange era to live in where so many children lived in homes.
