Recently I heard that this handsome building had been demolished, which is a shame.
The first company on this site was Bengers who constructed it in 1937. Fisons took over in the 1960s and the land was bought by Sanofi-Aventis in 2004 who closed it and built a brand new factory, however they left the lovely admin block out of the development and it sat there empty with little telling of it's former usage apart from some rolls of Fisons tape and some big metal letters.
After pulling up outside there was a National Grid van parked on the road directly by the access point for what seemed like forever, however after a fairly lengthy stint twiddling our thumbs and examining a bus stop timetable he left and we wasted no time.
