Report - Ford Dagenham Apprentice Training School - March 2015

Part two of the Dagenham saga from me. I had poked around this lot in the dark on my first visit but it needed a day light return to full appreciate it. This building sits to the north of the main body plant and it was a little bit of mystery as to what was going to be in there. As it turned out the ground floor was basically the canteen, largely modernised in the 90s it was fairly uninteresting. Upstairs however was the former apprentice training school. parts of which had been taken over at some point as a work wear store. This area looked to have closed in 2001 when the Fiesta production ceased and was suitably dated and decayed.. Nearby buildings appeared to have been used for some kind of construction training for some reason. Either that or they were quite empty.

Still not sure why people are sitting on their hands with this place. Your missing out and we're missing out because there's still loads to see here!

They are connected but this is slightly to the north of the main building. Much easier than the rest I think. It's dead

Nice one mate. As a heads up, as of this week the main works from what I can gather is completely empty and every single press has gone .

Yeh, id assume so. Its been a good few months since we were last in there now. I noticed the boiler house had scaffold on it which i think is maybe new?? Thats the bit that needs to be done now. Otherwise we need to know when the power goes off and actual demo starts i think. It might become a lot easier then.
