Well went back here again last night, determined to get into the main part of the site which was locked down so tight the previous time.
We headed straight round and managed to get in, was quite as easy as that, but ill spare you the boring details and just upload a load of pictures.
Inside is all very much still intact, so if you are thinking of paying a visit, there alot to see, and could stay in there for hours, wandering round. I love it.
I dont know what alot of the stuff in there does or what its for, but its an amazing place, and security wise, very very quite.
We managed to get in onto the middle corridor, to which there is an upper and lower, and there are where the reactors are for the furnaces and all the electrical switch gear and capacitors, which were huge! Long concrete corridors with various pipes and cables running along them, and then sections with about 12 pipes comming out which were the feed lines for the furnaces. So after having a good route round here we made our way out onto the main foundry floor.
Its quite amazing the amount of equipment and control units there are in this place, there were operating stations everywhere, i will be posting a map up, so you can see the layout of this place.
I think possibly one of the most amusing parts of the night was find the old porno next to the 10 mega jigger lube machine, whihc incidently was in the " crack off area" and im not even joking. "sorry no porno pictures"
