Forge Bleach Works last operated under Kaleidoscope Colouration Ltd. Kaleidoscope went to tender sale on the 30th March 2005 the key features listed as "cotton bleaching, dyeing and finishing plant"
No offers were made and shortly after Forge Bleach Works shut its doors forever.
Before Kaleidoscope, Forge Bleach Works operated under the Dorma Group UK who manufactured bed linen and cotton prints.
Forge has been built around and expanded upon the old Sykes Paper Mill originally built in the 1800s by John Sykes. Many of the Mill's original features still remain.
Sitting on the riverside and covering approximately 34 acres with at least 8 acres of buildings, including a reservoir, treatment plants, offices, vast drive in working floor space and ample outbuildings it is certainly a worthy explore.
Visited with Havoc.
I'd say theres over x20 rooms of this size and bigger scattered across various levels
