Former tuberculosis sanatorium and prison - Pennsylvania

Recently had the opportunity to explore the SCI Cresson Prison. It began as a tuberculosis sanatorium in 1913 then a state hospital and finally a state prison. Eventually would shut down in 2013 as the state citing the antiquity of the prison and rising costs of maintaining it as the primary reasons for the closure.

Currently being renovated into some sort of green eco plant growing type business I believe, the owners are kind enough to offer tours - a few of my friends have either been on a visit there or have actively helped with the cleanup inside recently.
