This is a place I've seen through the car window hundreds of times as a child and it's nice to finally know what's inside. I can't believe that I've left exporing this place so long; If I'd have known what it would be like, I'd have done it ages ago.
I won't even attempt a history because clebby has written an excellent one. Here's the link: http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=46233
The glare in this place made getting decent pictures difficult, so I'm sorry if they're awful.
One of the best things about this place was the original structures and features that have been left mainly intact.
There's also some machinery left behind...
Some of the wood panelling still there is fantastic...
Taken from clebby's report:
It was nice to see the original door signs...
Before we left, we wanted to find the control room. Luckily we did, but unfortunately, the pikeys had already been and stripped most of it for copper.
I just thought I would slot this in at the end because I like it
This place is definitely worth a visit. Cheers.
