Hey everybody!
This is my first report, the place is in France (I just arrived in Glasgow, will post some stuff from here when I get to explore around)
Ok so I'm new to urban exploration but I've been absolutely in love with this place for the last 3 years (it has been demolished a couples of months ago). It was close to my place so I could go pretty often.
I suppose the beauty of that place lies more in its derelition than in its industrial history, still I think you might like it.
I'm do not know the name of the place, but it was a group of building, among which there were :
-industrial printing studio
-various garages including the "rust palace" which was a car painting warehouse
-Offices and (supposedly assembling grounds for household electrial goods.
several parts of it caught fire misteriously in the late 80, I heard it had been criminal (intimidation or revenge as the car painting studio was into stolen cars 'recycling'). might well be a myth though.
Anyway in one of the warehouses, the fire had twisted the girders and rain had covered the place in rust it was quite an incredible place.
it had been derelict for the last 25 years.
I can only post a few pics here but in three years I took thousands, I posted the best 100 on Flickr, please have a look at the album if you like the report.
A dereliction first-love story
Close up of the twisted girders:
What happens if you forget a glass jar in a big warehouse on fire
Any comments are more than welcome!
I'm desperately looking for people to explore with in Glasgow!
This city is full of great places but I don't want to go on my own, please give me a shout it you want to meet up!
thanks for looking
