The explore
Another little throwback explore , today one is Redhill earth works , back in March 2018 the weekend @WilsonTheHuman stayed down we did a number of explores ! One off them was also red hill factory
the explore was on the most easy explores we had done that weekend, we walked though the fence right down to the factory !
we heard roumors about security and stuff but there was non on site
the factory was massive and we spent a good 3/4 hours on the site just exploring
we did bump into lots of local kids, and also people doing abasling
Shame the site no longer around anymore !
History :
For more than 100 years, the Copyhold Works of the Fuller's Earth Union Ltd extracted the grey, mineral-rich clay known as "fuller's earth" and sold it on to a range of sectors from the wool trade to the oil industry.
It's also used as cat litter, and while most fuller's earth is now imported, until 1997 Redhill was one of only three sites in the UK where the valuable substance could be quarried
