Looking back through some photos I stumbled upon some I have not posted. Me and man gone wrong had tried Shoreham cement works and failed dismally on our first try so we stopped at Cocking lime works and then went here. We met up with Brewtal as this was his local haunt at the time. It was a trashed place but still had appeal and quite a lot to see. It was demolished not long after we visited, so glad we got to see this exploring regular.
Fullers was one of three sites were they extracted what is known as Fullers earth, it was used in a variety of trades due to its very good absorbent qualities. It originally started to supply the wooden trade but diversified into other uses from cat litter to powder cosmetics. The site was closed around the mid nineties and the quarry and warehouse continued in use. The whole site apart from the quarry closed in the noughties.

Amazing photos mate. Seen it around a few times but these are the best pics I've seen and really show off how much that site had to offer, surprisingly. Right up my street that.

Sadly, one I missed out on as that was when I only really did local explores.

aha, one of my first. A real good one for beginners.
Back in those days it was a grade c or d. Today it would be much higher with the general lack

Lovely coverage. Brings back memories this place. Went a few times. Sadly lost my photos, so good to see it in these great images.
