George Barnsley's, Cornish Works - Sheffield, July 2010
Oh, and thanks dave.
Visited with Bugsuperstar, a Barnsley, a tea cosy, Lego Man and a bad case of the giggles
This place has been well coverered recently and sadly, looking at older reports, appears to be going downhill. It's still a lovely little time capsule regardless and I had hoped that the Barnsley we ran into there might engage us in a little conversation about it's past and future (as he used to work there) but sadly, he wasn't keen (I blame lego man).
Anyways, Cornish Works produced leather crafting tools on what looks like a massive scale. There is rack, upon rack, upon rack of storage nooks for all varieties of tools, blades, handles etc. The building has been extended many times and has a bit of a hodge podge look to it from the yard with bridges from one to another and varying styles of architechure.
Lots of lovely, lovely pics of this already, but here's my take.
