George Hotel, Huddersfield

The 60 bed three star rated George Hotel is a Grade II listed building famous as the birthplace of rugby league, designed by William Walker, built in 1851 and closed in January 2013.

The explore.
One pair of slightly ripped jeans to enter this place.
I know this has been covered plenty of times in the past, and captured much better than I have, if I’m honest it kind of kills me to look back at these photos, but I have to start back somewhere. And hopefully it won’t be another 2 plus years before my next report. I've thought about it many times, and even now I'm hesitant about pressing "post thread" I enjoy doing these I’m just not very good at it.

Most of the rooms are stripped back empty shells.

And finally an external shot shamelessly stolen from the internet as I forgot to take any. Something that will become a regular occurrence in future reports.
