History:
The Wembley Works first appeared on maps around 1948 and has housed many businesses over the years. It seems most had moved out by 2021, but the place was fully empty by 2023. The whole site is on the market, but there was a planning application put in to demolish the place and build housing. This was denied, as the council didn't want the site to lose its potential to be a place of employment. The place is constantly being boarded up and has some camera coverage. But now the building's future is unknown, as it continues to sit abandoned. There's little info regarding the site as a whole, but we're taking a look at just a small area of this large premises.
"Get Juiced" was a small company that created various kinds of vegetable and fruit juices. Beginning their operations in 2014, they dissolved the company back in 2021, likely due to the pressures of the pandemic.
The Explore:
I've been keeping an eye on this one for some time, hoping to one day see something of the inside. Seeing parts were abandoned for ages, I kept noticing new boards appearing on the windows, but never caught the place open. Although I finally got a small reward for my persistence when I discovered one part of the site accessible. Given the cameras outside, I was expecting there to be alarms and parts of the building to be closed from within.
I was right about thing, after finding the doors to main lobby and connecting corridors boarded over. I was sadly confined to one area. I quickly didn't care about this though when I found the entire place stocked stuff, cartons of mouldy juice left in cages and all of the machinery still in place.
Just as I began taking photos the paranoia kicked in when I was sure I could hear someone in another part of the building, I tried my best to ignore it and take my time, but I unfortunately came away with some slightly shaky snaps. 😓
Thanks for taking a look!
