I'm no rooftopper - in fact it's one thing I have never really thought of doing. But the opportunity to do a trio of Chicago high-rises was too good to pass up. All would require the strange combination of stealth and full-frontal blatant assault as all were being done in daylight hours - and in the end two of the three worked out - the third one we were busted almost as soon as we stepped foot in the lobby of the building.
The first successful one was the baby of the three, standing a shade under 40 storeys tall. We had to be careful up top as there was a huge glass skylight that looked down directly into the top floor gym/swimming pool area, but all was good.
After a full-on day of exploring we returned to the downtown area in early evening and headed up the second one for sunset time. This was a much taller structure standing 60 storeys tall, and after the aforementioned combination of stealth and full frontal assault we got to the top.
So there we are - will I do any more rooftops? Probably not. I prefer my explores to have peely paint and sketchy floors - but it's always nice to do something different every so often.
