Am I doing this right?
Here's some photos that have long been languishing on a 32gb memory card that I found over Christmas when looking for something else. Images from the last time we did any srs umbex, in Italy.
A Cotton Mill, according to records, disused from 1995 due to extreme polluted effluent discharge from the works spoiling the pristine Piedmontese sub Alpine streams and aquifers.
Probably about time, as the stores here were packed to the rafters with cotton handkerchiefs, of which there can't have been much of a market for.
Seeing photos from this mill quite often in the months and years preceding our visit, there was clearly a lot of change that had taken place once we got there. Footfall and time had taken its toll. There were cooler cars, loads of sewing machines and a pristine 1950s medical bay. You can find many photos online from 2015-17 when this was in its prime on typical European 'Lost Place' type accounts across the internet.
Anyway, onto the photos. I found it interesting that many many hop climbers had taken hold across the complex leading to some interesting scents that lingered alongside that oh so familiar and comforting aroma of industrial derp.
Cheers
