Glades Leisure Centre is just off of the Hoobrook roundabout and so is close to the heart of Kidderminster. Due to a build up of asbestos in the roof and the fact that the site was outdated, they decided to invest £11.9 million into a new leisure centre leaving the former Glades behind. The site began being demolished in March.
We decided to visit in early April to see if we could still get in:
Luckily the front of the building had been knocked down leaving the rest of Glades wide open to walk directly into as well as the rest of the building staying intact.
