Had a look at this place today! It really is like an apocalypse in the middle of the mountains! In it's heyday would have probably been not far off a self contained village.
However it's suffered for years from neglect. I'm lead to believe the owner, who also owns the neighbouring 'Cabrach' estate, doesn't give a sh*t about the buildings on his land! Subsequently there are derelict shooting lodges, farms, schools, churches and even an imposing 4 storey manse in this area.
The lodge here would have once been the setting for generations of shooting parties for 'rich paying guests'. Would really like to find old photos!

Seems like someone's been having a good time...
the corridors made it almost have a hospital feel
