harbour chambers and custom house dundee March 2018

one of the largest port authority headquarters in the country, is a reminder of the importance of the city as a sea-port in the 19th century and the wealth of the trade passing though the harbour.

From the mid 18th century until 1803, Pierson Lodgings, latterly known as Old Custom House, originally dating from circa 1591, operated as the Customs House for Dundee. The new Customs House built for the Port Authority 1842-3 was the second largest in Scotland.

Well this was a interesting explore.
Bumped into 2 women coming out of the back door so I asked to go in. Usual told no health and safety this and that. Ok ok no probs. Soon as they turned around I was in.
Quite a interesting explore especially in the attic. Photos aren’t the best as I lost my tripod on the 1st explore on our trip.

Andy i wasn’t been a dick. You said it wasn’t worth a visit.i don’t know as I didn’t see that bit. I was talking about a building over the road I’d spotted and had a look in but it wasn’t worth it. I do apologise if it come across wrong.
