Hawkshead Mill - Old Glossop - February 2011
Visited Solo
To be honest this mill was quite trashed, but still retained a very distinct character throughout. It was very wet and the top floor quite sketchy in parts but all in all it was a nice way to whim away a couple of hours. Thanks to NickUK for the advice.
Hawkshead was built in the late 1700's and has had several occupiers, the last being Flexco, a conveyor manufacturer. It was also used during WW1 as a munitions factory....
Cheers
