History
I couldn’t find much information about this place other than it used to be a pumping station for the Elan pipeline to the Hayley Green water supply, commissioned in 1949. At the bottom end of the site lies a little wooden hut that use to house a ford v8 engine that powered a tangye centrifugal pump. This ensemble is now on display at clay mills pumping station in burton
The explore
After finding where this place actually is, access was fairly easy. It’s an interesting little site with a few bits to look at. Unfortunately the main building had been broken into so I couldn’t gain entry. Even the mrs liked this place (which is a miracle) so I’d suggest going but only if your in the area, it’s not worth a road trip.
Thanks for looking
