Visited with my partner in crime (LOL) on 10/4/10. My God what an insane yet brilliant day. I'm not gonna go into details into what I'd seen whether it be Railway related or not (you'd know why if I told you), but believe me it was truly INSANE! But I'm really happy that the weather was kind to us and lady luck shone on us for pretty much the whole trip!
Healey Mills Yard:
Had a little bit of difficulty finding this, but spent a brilliant 90 mins looking at all the old 56s and exploring what would've been the old maintenance shed. Access was totally mad (again don't ask) but we got in without a scratch.
Crewe EMD:
Only did the storage bit (stuff ex. OOC - top priority) before being escorted off by a workman! Ha ha ha! Oh well at least he never saw me down the bit where I went! He was really nice anyway!
Crewe DMD:
As you know I've already covered this before so I only went to get 37670 which was sadly locked away in the shed. Oh well at least it's safe. Since I went last year it seems that a lot of the stuff has been reorganized which means that a lot of the 56s that were once out in the open are now safely locked away in the shed.
Crewe LNWR:
Did this as a last minute thing mainly to get the 2 condemned 86s 86633 and 86635 and maybe getting a bit on the side. Went up to shed to get some pics but told to clear off before manager sees us (in a nice way though ) - apparently he doesn't take kindly to us explorers! Oh well! At least we got what we wanted which was fantastic!
That's my Dad in the background - he'd apparently spotted a UFO that looked like a plane that was stuck in mid air! Hahahahahahaha!
Cheers,
TBM
