Im generally new to Urbexing, and I know what your all going to say: "read the survival guide," "use Google Maps," "look at other posts," "explore your local area."

First off, I live in London, and most locations end up getting knocked down and built on. Ive gone to explore multiple places that are said to "still be there" over the past few weeks, and every single time I arrive, what do I see? A building site. I know you guys don't give out locations for free, but I am indeed asking for you guys to share locations with me. For the pure reason that it's hard to find them in east London, most places get knocked down, Google Maps is incredibly outdated (I'm talking about 2020–2022), and the places that are shown to be there are already long gone.

Again, I know you guys don't share locations, but just this once, it would be nice if you did, as I have explored over the past few weeks using Google Maps, forums, friends, and so on, and all the places I have been to (10+ locations) are already knocked down or being repurposed.

Hi welcome along.
I feel your frustration, it happens to even seasoned explorers, we all have a period of fails and often people start with them but it passes and it makes that first explore so much more special especially if you've found the place yourself.
It's the nature of the game unfortunately. Have a drive round your area or better still take a train or bus around. Look for sale boards, boarded up windows etc.
Look in your local papers for closing down sales. Search the Internet for your local papers and search terms like redundancies or closed down or shut it's doors etc.

You're right in that you won't get locations handed out to you but check out the rumours threads or see if there's anyone in your area asking for a meet up.

You can't always expect stuff on your doorstep, London is well known for the things you suggest, places cost too much to leave derelict for too long and as a by product London explorer's tend to be more tight lipped about locations than most.
Move your search to a different area, get 9 or 10 explores planned and have a day or even weekend away and see how many are doable from your list.

Welcome. Scoobs is right. Its hard to get started. And you are doing all the right things already. What I would say is, if possible, jump on the DLR Strafford to Woolwich, watch out the windows, you will spot a few abandons Im sure. I do this journey and see quite a bit.

Good luck
