Been sitting on these pics for a while so missed getting a report up 1st, but better late than never….
This was a place that had stirred my curiosity for quite some time but unfortunately proved near impossible to gain assess, having failed miserably on numerous occasions. That is until recently
There is always a security presence on this site 24/7, but they tend to stay either within Latchmere house itself or the court yard. The perimeter fence to the main section of the prison is a monster! Ridiculously high and basically unclimbable without equipment and there is concrete which surrounds the entire fence perimeter preventing someone from digging.
I visited the site of a few occasions as didn’t get round the whole place on my 1st visit and wanted to show a few other explores. I did have a few close calls with the security although managed to avoid actually getting caught.
Hopefully the pics are not too bad; they were taken with my phone at night. I do need to get a decent camera! (just don’t know where to start)
Thanks for looking. Critique welcome.

Built in the 19th century, Latchmere was used as a hospital treating shell-shocked officers during World War I, but gained lasting notoriety in the 1939-45 conflict.
The site was not listed by the Red Cross, and the Geneva Convention did not apply to inmates because they were not classed as prisoners of war.
MI5 used Latchmere House to interrogate and break captured Nazi agents and turn some into double agents as part of its ‘double cross system’.
Documents released in 1999 show some 480 suspects passed through its gates.
The prison service took over the site in 1948, and it was used as a junior and senior detention centre, a young offenders’ institution and an immigration centre, before becoming a resettlement prison in 1991.

Latchmere House
Entrance into the prison court yard
The inside of a cell....looking pretty basic
This place was in the process of being transformed, with continued ongoing work
Exterior shot (the lights seen in the distance are within Latchmere House)
Stairs leading to further coridors of cells
A free porn magazine...message for uncensored pic haha
Corridor of cells
