This was actually a fall back plan to visit if we failed at Whittingham. As it was we took it in anyway. I'd not seen or heard about this before visiting so it was a pleasant surprise upon entry to see the staircase. I'm not sure it's exactly original but it's still nice all the same. Apparently others are reporting this place is now a hive of activity with building work underway. If that's the case I'm glad we saw it when we did.
