This is an old explore from 2018 of the old Irlandus Circuits Factory in Craigavon/Lurgan
This site was opened in 1972 and closed in 2005 (According to Company House). I know they made passive electronic components and printed circuit boards for the higher end of the market and they were used by data and telecoms equiptment manufacturers. I cannot find any images of the site from when it was in operation..
Irlandus was owned by Californian based company SMTEK International until there was a management buy out of the Lurgan site putting it into local hands. I believe at some point it was also called DDL Electronics.
I know the site was a lot bigger but the factory was demolished due to a fire several years ago leaving only the admin/office block.
Nothing inside this place apart from fixtures and fittings which i weirdly find interesting.
This site has now been completely leveled apart from the tall steam chimney.
Thanks for reading
