'Keeley' Chapel/House
Considering this is my first report I decided to go for something relatively easy/close, but it took us a long time to find this place and left us feeling a little bit silly when we did. As we did this in the evening light was minimal and provided by my flash and our torches and head torches.
I am still none the wiser as why this place is referred to as 'Keeley' but I shall refer to it as that anyway and this place has very little background or information, I've tried to do research on it but to no avail, I know there has been a couple of reports done on this in the past but also with them struggling to find anything else.
The chapel and house are situated next to each other the chapel is now pretty much an empty building that is mainly boarded up and the house is now very much overgrown, which slightly hindered our progress into the house.
With the knowledge I have from the other reports this house seemed like it was left in a hurry, with a lot of the rooms left as they were, meaning a lot of documents, papers, letters were also left behind. We found papers dating back to early 1940's. The majority of the house seems to be falling completely apart, but I found a few little gems that I thought I could put into this.
