I believe this is a military underground fuel storage depot in Kelmarsh, Northamptonshire. It is linked to other depots and bases via the Government Pipeline and Storage System (GPSS).
A former railway line (now a footpath) runs alongside the site, the remains of a platform can be seen, the depot probably had a railway link to it.
This place does not seem to be well documented, I can find very little written about it. It's not labelled on Google Maps.

Definitely worth a return visit I think.
This visit was after a weekend festival nearby and myself and 3 others were in need of a bath and some hearty food so didn't hang about too long!
