I know this isn’t technically an explore, but it seems to be the main topic of conversation in the Mistley thread at the mo. As it's massive (acommodates 600 for 3 months) it deserves it’s own thread…
I visited here last Tuesday morning, and would recommend going when it’s that quiet. Arriving at the bungalow in the middle of the woods, it’s not obvious where the entrance is so I just opened the front door expecting to see a ticket desk. No, you enter through the generator room to be greeted by a sign which simply tells you to pay on you way out.
Old phone near the door (I think the same used for the electric shocks in 'Jackass 2')
You then go through the 100m tunnel into the main bunker
Air raid sirens
One thing I loved about the place is that all the doors are shut, and lights are off until you turn them on, so you do get a bit of an explore feel!

Worrying how high the thermometer goes…
Cold war emo look…
The operating theatre is horrible, it still smells of hospital
Finally the cool exit tunnel
I’d be glad to hear other peoples experience of this place.
