This post is OPEN - it is held closed with some galvanised wire which is easy to remove and put back. The post is very dry.
My work took me down to Sutcombe this morning, so I decided to drive back the A39 and past two ROC posts.
This one at Kilkhampton is situated very close to the main road and laybay, making it very easy to access. Cars cannot see you, but lorries and tractors can, as I found out!
I entered the field by a gate, and walked up the field to the post. Took some pics, went inside, and when I came back up there was a farmer waiting! It wasn't his field, but he had seen the lid up and parked in the lay by.
I gave him some tuition - he had not realised how many of these there are around the county and country.
Anyway, some picks. Excuse the quality, I didn't realise I would be passing these really, so did not take my camera. These are taken with a camera phone.
