Report - Former Gala Bingo Hall, Kingston - 11/2024

The site originally housed a coral social club before it was turned into a Gala Bingo hall, which was part of a well-known chain of bingo clubs across the UK. Over time, the venue fell out of use and closed, likely due to a combination of factors such as changing entertainment preferences and the decline of traditional bingo halls. Like many old bingo halls, the space has been left to decay, with the structure becoming more run-down over the years and was almost done up but plans were cancelled around 2022 i think I'm not sure what is happening with this building now, I also think it was a theatre at some point but I'm not sure, this has been left here to rot since about 2012 and is full of graffiti but has a nice rooftop to go around.

It was originally the Regal Cinema, eventually becoming an ABC in the 1960's.

I assumed that the redevelopment was all sorted now, but seemingly it doesn't look all that different internally to how it did a decade or more ago! Unfortunately a lot of the interior has been ruined as a result of the actions of one of the former owners.

Yeah I could see all the construction stuff just all left in there and on one of the stairs there's a massive hole going down to the basement and thanks for the info of the place but I'm pretty sure redevelopment got cancelled but I'm not sure
