LEEDS ARENA
Now officially called the Leeds LOL Society Arena
Obv's really this should be in NP so if mods feel necessary to move it please do, this one of a handful of the finest Leeds has to offer but as this one cant really be "Locked down" anymore then it already is Ill post this one and have to save the rest till the time is right
According to the Arena website the Leeds Arena will have one of the most striking and unique Arena designs in Europe. Using an ever-changing kaleidoscope of coloured lights, the honeycomb design will act as a commanding gateway to Leeds city centre and come ‘alive’ at night.
On an evening, the front of the building will change colour or pattern dependant on the show or mood of the arena at the time. The Leeds Arena may be pink for a Pink show, purple for Prince or turn whatevers colours needed really.
Meanwhile, the striking honeycomb design uses a complex mathematical algorithm – a voronoi diagram – to create cellular shapes that are visible on key approaches to the arena. This is the first Arena in Europe to be designed using this method and the stunning design will also help bring about major regeneration of the northern quarter of Leeds city centre.
Opening in 2013 its being a long time coming really was going to happen and be built before the reccession but when that hit it was put on hold.
When finished it will hold 13500 people all chanting "LEEDS LOL! LEEDS LOL! LEEDS LOL!" probs anyway.

On this picture you see the huge rigging above where the stage will be, was really good up there with tons of pulleys and scaff to play on....
On the roof type terrace thing, I hope this is going to be a bar with glass walls cos the view of Opel 3 is sick!!!
