Visit with OT, Turk and Disco. What can I say, what an amazing place. We covered every inch of the place, in some places "caving" through the cavities under the fallen floors. It is heart breaking to see most of the damage has been caused by wankers toppling the stone from the tower straight through the beautiful plasterwork. Despite the massive vandalism and weather damage, the immense grandure is still visable through every turn. The tower was well worth the danger and effort to reach it, as the views were stunning.
This was one of my favorite explores of the roadtrip, I loved every second in there.
A star and rose were featured in the front crest, in various plasterwork, and in this acid etched glass. Does anyone know what they represented. I assume they were to do with the castles original owner?
