Letham Grange is a large mansion built in the late 1820's by Archibald Simpson, an architect who was responsible for many of Aberdeen's grand buildings. The estate was so vast it even had it's own railway station. During the latter part of the 20th century the mansion was converted to a hotel, with a golf course opening in 1987. The hotel closed in 2002 and the golf course closed in 2019. The future of the site is still uncertain, being one of Scotland's most complex legal cases with regards to the ownership of the building and grounds.
This is quite a large building and was nice to see it in a state of natural decay with not an ounce of vandalism. The conservatory was a particular attraction for me, something enjoyable about seeing nature slowly reclaiming it.
Thanks for looking
