Llanddulas quarry/jetty is in north wales just of the A55.The first quarry opened here in the early 1800's this site was built in 1940 and i'm not to sure when it closed but i would say quite a while ago by the amount of rust on the jetty there is a new site just down the road doing the same quarrying.
The quarry is on one side of the A55,the crushed lime stone is then taken along a conveyor belt under the road and into a large storage depot then it is sent down the jetty which is 200 metre's long into waiting ships to be exported around the world. This site is well worth a visit. the jetty it self is in a sorry state and we only went half way down with fear of falling through the jetty 30ft into the sea
