Report - Llantarnam School, Cwmbran July 2015

Myself and a non member recently paid a visit to the former Llantarnam Comprehensive school in Cwmbran, South Wales. The school has recently closed and is awaiting demolition to make way for a primary school and new housing developments on the land.

Walking through the corridors was what I can only describe as ghostly, I'm sure I've visited graveyards that have made more noise.

It was a sort of impromptu visit, therefore, the pictures aren't the best of quality but I hope to go back soon and capture better quality images and cover more areas of the school before the demolition takes place.

You're welcome! It was certainly a visit that was worth it. Demolition will begin soon to make way for houses so unfortunately, time is running short for further visits.

Seems to be a few people with kids in your 3rd photo, did you invite the family along to check it out with you?

School was out 2 weeks before these images were taken. Final visits for public was the week before some of these images were taken, there's a mixture of public tour images and school completely closed images which I'm sure you can work out which are which by the state of classrooms, etc.
