Lluesty Hospital: Flint, May 2016
Lluesty Hospital was built in 1839 and held up to 400 inmates, its sadly closed its doors in 2008. The site has its own parish which was built around 1883/4.
After the hospital closed in its doors in 2008, it was sold for redevelopment as a residential care home. However, the plans fell through and the building has since been left standing empty and derelict.
The site was hit by a fire in 2012, however there was little damage except for the remains of a caravan/trailer unit and a little but to the building nearby.
We spent well over 4 hours and took hundreds of shots, overall a fantastic place to visit.
The majority of the flooring and stairs are in good nick, so you don’t have to be too wary when walking around.
