History:
Former hospital which was sold in london at auction for £275,000 , it is thought that 70 houses will be built on this site . built as a workhouse in the 1840s and expanded over the years it was eventually to come under the NHS in the late 40s.
The Explore:
Didn't have much time and unfortunately missed a lot of the good bits, but really good hour spent here. No problems getting in, obvious signs that security is therethere (hut, hi viz and other bits) but nowhere to be seen. Was in process of being stripped of asbestos so not all accessible at the time. Few nice photogenic parts here, especially exterior of the red brick building.
