Hi all.
This is a report of a work in progress student block currently going up in Sheffield. Been idly watching this for months now & after seeing some pics from the top thought it was worth the effort. To be fair it wasn't all that much effort. Visited with K-Plan.
Below is an artists impression of the site;
From the brochure;
Pics;
Above is the frontage of former Lansdowne Picture Palace, has also been a night club (the Locarno, Tiffany's and later Bed) The frontage was restored around 2007 - 2008 when Sainsbury’s took over.
Thanks for looking!

Built over six floors (including a basement with secure bicycle storage and laundry facilities), each level is comprised of three different room types, with additional communal facilities for students to share. Each room also comes with a LCD TV. Every floor follows an identical layout, containing 10 x standard rooms, 4 x superior rooms and 4 x superior plus rooms, as well as two communal living spaces with kitchen facilities and lounge areas. A truly modern concept in student living, London Court has complete disabled access between all floors, including a standard and platform lift at ground level, allowing for full manoeuvrability throughout the building. Students can also be reassured by the presence of an experienced management company, who will ensure the smooth running of the building from the moment they move in.
