Nothing epic, but well worth the effort
visited solo & then with @catbalou .

Low hall mills along with temple works was a former flax mill,
which opened in 1874 although parts of the building trace back to an earlier mill built in 1792.
The words Low Hall Mills & 1874, are inscripted on the facade.
The flax mill was owned by Marshall & sons, founded by the industrialist John Marshall which ceased operating in 1886
then became owned by John Whitehead & used as a wool & cloth mill for over a century.
Then became owned by Selby plumber merchants, the letters s p m are inscripted on the gates.
The front of the works are currently used by Peter Cassidy,
while the rear of the works remains empty & unused.

Nice to see a bit more of this. So many buildings like this have been demoed or converted in recent years, it's nice to see that there are still some tucked away.

Very true. Dobroyed is now totally gone. Even the nice old bits.

Glad to see some hoistage - wonder what that disintegrator thing with the brown chute was used for.

Very nice - those in-line boilers are unusual you don't see a setup like that too often.

Very nice, some great shots of old industry there. Boiler house looks interesting. I like the scales. Over 200 yrs of layers of history. Thats an achievement and shows build quality, even if its not all there anymore.:thumb
