Myself, The Raw and BBA, decided to take a trip to Italy. The plan was to do some Mansions, Bunkers and the Asylum. Planned to spend about 3 hours in the Asylum and then go and get lunch.In the end we spent 9 hours in there and missed lunch, which should tell you what an epic place this was. We tried a few routes in but the place seemed more secure than when The Raw was here last. We managed to find our way in and headed for the main building. The Main building was over 3 or 4 floors and was a place that just keep on giving.
When you look at pictures of this place on the internet, they all show similar images, thats just because they are fucking awesome shots. I hope iv'e got some new shots not seen before but some will be familiar.
The Raw wanted to find the allusive Mortuary, so after 7 hours in the main building, we headed out into the huge grounds of the Asylum. After some time we found a strange looking building, which looked hopeful, and when we got in. sure enough it turned out to be the Mortuary, unfortunately the place had been used as a animal barn, shit was everywhere, still it looked cool just the same . All in all one of the most amazing places i have explored.

Some History
The Hospital was built in 1871. It was first used as a charity hospital, before becoming a Military hospital. During the 2 World Wars the hospital was at its busiest. Later it became a Psychiatric Hospital. In the late 1970'S The Basaglia Law came into force, Which like in the UK changed the way Patients were cared for, so in 1981 Manicomio Di R closed.
