First report on here after a loooong break from exploring.
Marksend Quarry is based near Bollington in Cheshire, along the gritstone trail,
Appears to have been established in the 1830's mainly for the Lime stone, Sand stone and grit stone (hence the trail name)
Anyway, boring Monday afternoon and i figured it would be a safe little mooch, however, due to UU doing works on a new reservoir adjacent to the site the road directly leading to it was closed.
Quick drive around and we were parked up and ready to go.
Wandering safely around the site, we came across 2 old storage sheds, one with not much and one full of old engines, further down the site were 2 rock separators and some diggers,
Dotted throughout the site was a lot of equipment and buckets for the diggers.
Anyway, heres the pictures. Apologies if the formatting is wrong, only have access to a tablet.
And for some reason, unknown why, but I have have a thing for rusty old barrels.
