This impressive mausoleum stands in a small village. The view from the outside is much more beautiful than from the inside. Due to the current state, reconstruction is relatively unlikely.
A castle was built here in 1897. The mausoleum was built in 1908. The baron and his wife died in 1911. As part of the land reform of 1921, the family was expropriated and some of the children fled to Canada in 1925.
The members of the Csávossy family are buried in the crypt of the mausoleum. The mausoleum was later converted into a Roman Catholic church. The last services took place in the 1980s.
The graves were first desecrated by the mayor because he was looking for valuables. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison for this. Later, young people played football with the bones.
The family’s remains were then reburied in the cemetery.
